Short answer: AI video effects here are short photo-to-video clips. Add one photo (of you, or of two people) or two photos side by side, pick one of 17 effects and wait a minute or two. You get a silent, vertical 5-second clip in 720p for 5 credits.
What an effect does to your photo
A video effect takes a still image and gives it one cinematic moment. The faces stay recognizable while everything around them moves: the camera flies off into orbit, chrome armor spreads over a jacket, or a second, third and tenth copy of the person steps into the street. Each effect is a single scene written for the video model, so you choose the idea and the model handles the camera, the light and the motion.
Effects live next to our rap videos in the same studio, but they are a lighter product. There are no lyrics and no song, the clip is five seconds by default, and it costs half as much as a standard rap. Think of them as the thing you post when you want a quick reaction rather than a full performance: a story, a reply in the group chat, the opening shot of a longer edit.
All 17 effects, sorted by mood
Every effect works with a photo of one person or two, except the hug, which needs two people. Here is the full list, grouped by the feeling each one gives a post.
| Mood | Effects | Good for |
|---|---|---|
| Big camera moves | Earth zoom out, Bullet time, Giants | Travel posts, reveals, βmain characterβ edits |
| Spotlight | Red carpet, Live concert, Fireworks, Money rain | Wins, launches, New Year, birthdays |
| Transformations | Turning metal, Outfit switch, Comic book, Disintegration | Before-and-after posts, fandom edits, dramatic exits |
| Dreamy | Levitation, Angel wings, Northern lights | Soft aesthetic posts, winter trips, tributes |
| Two or more of you | Hug, Clones | Long-distance friends, couples, βme in every meetingβ jokes |
| Pure nonsense | Pizza rain | Group chats and anything that needs a laugh |
Three of them have their own guides with photo tips and ideas: Earth zoom out, the AI hug generator and the AI clone video. The rest are one tap away in the effects tab of the studio below.
Picking the right photo for the effect
- Faces first. Front-facing, well lit and uncovered: no sunglasses, masks or heavy beauty filters.
- For two people, either use one photo where you are both clearly visible or add two separate photos and let the studio place you side by side.
- Give the motion room. Effects that move the whole body, like levitation, giants or the outfit switch, tend to read better when the photo shows more than a tight face crop.
- Skip big group shots. The effects are designed around one or two faces.
- Start from the caption. The funniest clips begin with a joke in mind, then find the effect that fits it.
Effect or rap video?
If you are deciding between the two tabs of the studio, this is the short version.
| Video effect | Rap video | |
|---|---|---|
| Length | 5 seconds by default | 12 seconds by default, up to 30 on Ultra |
| Sound | Silent, add your own track | Original song with lyrics, beat and lip-sync |
| People | One or two | Two performers |
| Render time | About 1β2 minutes | About 2β3 minutes |
| Credits at 720p default | 5 | 10 |
Because effects are silent, they pair well with a trending sound added inside TikTok, Reels or Shorts. Higher models, higher resolution and longer clips cost more credits, and the studio shows the price before you render.
